Ablewhite’s offer a slightly grotesque poem about domestic cleaning in Worcester and the hideous beasts that are children!!!

In the world of domestic cleaning, we at Ablewhite's understand that every home has its unique set of challenges. From the artistic expressions on the walls to the adventurous undertakings in the bathroom, each mark and mess tells a story of a lively home filled with love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos.

Recognising the lighter side of these daily adventures, we recently crafted a humorous poem for our cherished domestic clients, aiming to bring a smile and a nod of understanding to the vibrant life that unfolds within the walls of a family home.

Read it and enjoy - and please don’t be offended - we’ve all been there!

“In a home where chaos does reign,
With children, none can feign,
Their creativity knows no bounds,
On walls, their artwork astounds.

Fingers often venture north,
Finding treasures to bring forth.
Noses mined like precious ores,
Leaving trails on doors and floors.

Toilets become their canvas wide,
Where unmentionables reside.
Adventures flushed away in swirls,
In the porcelain world unfurls.

Toothpaste, a mystery, far and wide,
Everywhere but on the brush it’s applied.
Splattered on mirrors, sinks, and tiles,
In cleaning battles, it compiles.

Crumbs parade on kitchen floors,
A testament to snack detours.
Juice box fountains, milkshake rains,
Sticky counters, lasting stains.

But before you scold, or sigh, or weep,
And into their rooms, you creep,
To tuck them in, with kisses light,
Despite the mess, despite the plight.

Remember where these habits stem,
The apple falls not far from them.
For every smudge, and stain, and spot,
Look in the mirror, plot the plot.

Parents too, with habits sly,
Under the same messy sky.
From us, they learn, in jest and rabble,
Our own chaos, they but dabble.

So laugh we must, at spills and smears,
Through the chaos, love endears.
For every mess they joyfully spawn,
Reminds us of the dawn of dawn.

In laughter, love, and messy hugs,
We find our hearts, as snug as bugs.
For in the end, it’s plain to see,
They learned these tricks from you and me!”
